Yeah, but he did that against the Royals so it's not like that catch happened in the Majors or anything.

I guess I picked the right evening to attend an Astros game. They broke a 5 game losing streak and beat the Giants for the first time this year.

This is insanity! Three no-hitters, and [three] perfect games!? What the hell is going on with this season?

Universally larger strike zone and less steroids. Seriously.

Honestly?
I think that the lessened influence of amphetamines might have more to do with it than the lessened influence of steroids.
Everyday positional players were the dudes who most benefited from the cumulative effect of uppers getting them through the grind of long road-trips and such, playing six games a week.
Young starting pitchers are probably the dudes least effected by greenies being around less.
The larger strike zone, yeah, that too. That's been a little more incremental over years, though, and might not show up so clearly in one season? Maybe?

Three regular-season weeks left. Nothing is settled yet, but the gaps are fairly wide and it's hard to make up a lot of ground quickly in this league. So I'm guessing our playoff field is set: Phlogistons, Thighbones, Banana Town, and Hot Bloody Fat.
The closest race at this point is between Banana Town and HBF, to get the #3 seed and avoid a first-round date with the mighty Phlogistons. Conveniently enough, we play each other in the last week of the regular season.

Hey guys,
Remember when Bill James' daughter posted here and said her dad liked Craig Biggo? That was great.
