I've got hella chubbs thinking about New York autumn.  I'm gonna be jogging and biking at 5am (before going to sleep).  Bike over all the NY bridges on windy evenings.  Playing football and soccer over hell of evenings.  Crunching leaves all day.  Plus fall is the most fashionable season.  I can finally whip out all the sexy clothes I've bought since like Christmas.

Also I got to pass my tests and get a job, so hopefully the fall-energy can help me with that.

Dear Summer, FUCK YOU!

Drained the pool Monday so we can have some things redone right. Tuesday, 90d. Today, 94d and climbing.

Estimated length of this heat-bender...two weeks.

That sounds like a September job to me.  Pool open at least two more weeks here.

It's usually hot through September and into October here, with pool time wrapping up in November. Wanted to do the work while we were still in the dry season, as a spottle of rain in the middle of the project would be a fuck-de-doo.

Welp, it looks like the worst of the hot weather is behind us for another year and it seems we all survived.

Oh well, nothing but a luxuriously mild east Texas winter ahead. *sigh*

It hovered around 104 F multiple times in July and Aug, and it'll get down to -22 F or lower in four months.  I like the marked changes of season, but I'd take 104 F over -22 F any day.

I wish I had a spot for a pool. We may someday have a hot tub.

It got up to the mid 90s this year, but in general the summer here kind of sucked and appears to be over now.

On the positive tip, we saw Crowded House, Toad the Wet Sprocket (again), Misfits (again - sorry, Wombles), Buzzcocks (holy crap that was an awesome show) and the Dead Weather. Also we went on a cruise.

Thanks. It's going to be warm enough here to use the pool into November and the jacuzzi year 'round.

Yesterday, the brick and tile work was all wrapped up.





At 7 this morning I had 8 dudes and two trucks show up for new plaster day.Lights, drains and plaster will all go in today and tomorrow, then the guys will acid etch it and we can fill 'er up and balance the water. I'll be swimming by the middle of next week.

I've really missed it. I was swimming for exercise for 45-60 minutes a night and it was treating me good.

Nabu', man, summer cruises are the shit. Where'd you sail off?

We flew down to Miami and hung out there for a day or two (a place I would not like to live) and then cruised to the Bahamas for four days, then back for another couple days in Miami. Just a touch rainy, but a lot of fun.

I should mention that at the Buzzcocks show I got to do something I never thought I'd have the opportunity to do: headbutt a blind guy.

Oh man... there have been a few things I have done for a blind guy that I never thought I would.  I think I mentioned once upon a time, how I briefly worked at a porn video store and chose porn for a blind guy, but beyond that, there was an outage of my time here when I worked in HIV care and some disturbing interactons with a different blind guy. I could tell tails.  They are of "the saddest thing" variety.
